We expect a lot of our feet on a daily basis. Every step requires the foot to adapt to the ground and withstand forces of up to three times your bodyweight while it propels you forward. If you are having trouble moving or suffering from foot pain or leg pain, come on in and see us at Erko Podiatry
Podiatrists have been expertly trained (at university) to specifically understand the way the foot works and the reasons why people have pain in their feet and legs. If you are suffering from an injury that is not improving or have recurrent pain or loss of movement in the lower limb then a podiatrist can help you.
Yes! This is a common presentation of foot pain and often relates to pain in the heel. We will assess your foot, which may involve referral for x-ray or an ultrasound, and develop a treatment plan.
The feet do a lot of week each day. Each step transfers up to 3 times your body weight through the foot. It takes time for the feet to adapt to changes in their use and this is often when they first become sore. Increasing exercise, change in jobs, traveling or even moving house can be enough to start the foot pain cycle.
