Laser therapy refers to the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries using a therapeutic dose of red or near infrared light. This treatment modality is based on a photochemical process called Photobiomodulation.
At our clinic we use a high power laser which ensures greater penetration and absorption of light into tissue in a swift amount of time, compared to other lower powered devices. Our laser is a Class IV laser, utilising the 810nm/980nm wavelengths.

How does laser therapy work?
The light energy from laser reaches the mitochondria of damaged tissue in deeper structures (ie. muscles, tendons, ligaments and bones), promoting a physiological reaction to accelerate the body’s natural healing process.
